The Executive Board is seeking resumes for a permanent Secretary. This position includes health care benefits. A detailed job description is available in the church office and on the church website at www.messiahseattle.org. Resumes will be accepted until May 29 and the Executive Board will do the hiring. Please direct questions and submit all resumes directly to church President, Neil Strege. This position is important to all aspects of Messiah's work so all interested members should prayerfully consider applying.

Coming August 22-26, 2011! This year’s Continuing Education Class is “No More ‘Peek-a-Boo’ Jesus: Christology of the Old Testament.” Understanding the Old Testament and its Christological character and foundation means we must first understand the Hebrew people and their covenantal relationship with God. Therefore, the task is not to “find” Jesus in the Old Testament, but rather to recognize that Christ is the Old Testament. Class will be taught by Professor Jeffrey Pulse from the Seminary at Fort Wayne. Cost for the class will be $150.00. If you are interested, there is a sign up sheet with more information on the upstairs bulletin board. Contact Pastor Lassman 206.524.0024 on the best way to register.
Attention Junior High, Senior High and College students: Please don’t forget the servant event on May 21 at the Lake City Food Bank. In Sunday School, today, the children learned that as Jesus came to the Ethiopian (Acts 8:26-40), He comes to us in our weakness, for we cannot by our own reason or strength come to Him. Discuss how the Holy Spirit calls, gathers, enlightens and sanctifies us, keeping us with Jesus Christ in the one true faith.
