Coming August 22-26, 2011! This year’s Continuing Education Class “No More ‘Peek-a-Boo’ Jesus: Christology of the Old Testament.” Understanding the Old Testament and its Christological character and foundation means we must first understand the Hebrew people and their covenantal relationship with God. Therefore, the task is not to “find” Jesus in the Old Testament, but rather to recognize that Christ is the Old Testament. Class will be taught by Professor Jeffrey Pulse from the Seminary at Fort Wayne. Cost for the class will be $150.00. If you are interested, there is a sign up sheet with more information on the upstairs bulletin board. Contact Pastor Lassman 206.524.0024 on the best way to register.

Today in Sunday School the children learned that as God did with Paul, so God does with us. Through the Law we are crushed by the weight of our sins and are helpless. As God revived Paul through Ananias (Acts 9:1-31), He revives us through our pastors with the proclamation of His Word and the administration of His Sacraments granting forgiveness, life, and salvation to all who believe. Talk to your children about how the Sacraments and God’s Word revive you so that you may live as God’s child.
